Peace

With the intensity of the energies we’ve been navigating, change of season and just managing all that is going on, this has been my mantra of late. And, this is so uncharacteristic for me. I take pride in being a doer, and usually feel best when I am getting shit done, but lately, I have just wanted to take peace. This kind of thing always blows my mind. I happened to find a piece of paper I saved from Soul Camp this summer. It had the word written on it that was supposedly “my answer” to having what I intended at Soul Camp this year. In the first night there is a cool fire burning ceremony in which you set an intention for what you want to get out of the weekend, then you partner up with someone, and they hand you this piece of paper with what will help you or be access to you having what you want. And, this is blind, without you having shared your goal with them. Guess what mine said? !!!!!!!! Yup! Peace. It made total sense at the time because my goal was a greater work/life balance. But, little did I know what it would ultimately feel like and what else I would...

How I found Peace and Connection last week…

Posted by on Oct 10, 2017

Last week the energy in the air just felt heavy. It feels like the world is being shaken up, and negativity that has been there is being released. Terror in Las Vegas. Choas in Spain. Now add London to the list. It feels like we are being invited to grow and to elevate our consciousness once again. Yet, it can be tough to be positive when we are faced every day with so much negativity and fear of the future’s unknown. Last Monday I woke up feeling disturbed, found out about the shooting in Vegas, and felt drawn to take my dog for a walk by the river to try to find some peace and perspective. As we walked through the city on our way to the water, I was just getting more and more agitated. The peace I felt with fewer people out on weekend mornings wasn’t there, and everyone was anxiously and frenetically scurrying about. When I finally got to the river, I felt compelled to walk over to the railing and stand on the edge of the pier to be closer to the water. As I looked down and watched and listened to the water hit into the rocks, I involuntarily took a huge breath, then...

Finding Strength and Peace after Terrorism

Posted by on Oct 3, 2017

Got this message yesterday … Dear Lara, I’m always thankful for this post when days like today happen: http://www.thelaratouch.com/helping-find-strength-peace-aftermath-terrorism-2/ Thank you 💕 So, I thought I would send the exercises from this post to you again. Terrorism is scary, and it’s natural to feel affected by it. I made this video after the disturbing attack in Paris, and the exercises in it are still providing comfort today. In my work with trauma survivors, whether it is childhood trauma or more recent, I helped my clients utilize 3 steps to find their strength in the face of traumatic memories or feelings. They are outlined with examples in the video below. Video 1 And, here is a stress relief tapping sequence to help you calm down and get present to your current, safe reality, your personal power and your connection to the Divine. Video 2 I had three friends who avoided 9/11 despite the fact that they worked in the Twin Towers. All three were unusually diverted from being at work on time that morning. As a result, they luckily and miraculously were spared. After you do the exercise above, please ask angels to help the wounded and the families and friends of the victims to heal in Las Vegas. And...

Some days are easier than others.

Right now it seems as if many of us are feeling the ups and downs of change. Many of my clients have been coming in this week in a Fight or Flight Stress Reaction in reaction to the media or life upheaval from change in their own lives. Even positive change is stressful. Any movement away from your norm is usually stressful. Please take time today or this weekend to do this quick  exercise and calm your body down, so you can fully rest. You may need more rest right now, and I am giving you permission and an invitation to take it. Please think about what you need this weekend and do something to nourish yourself. ~ If you feel tired, rest. ~ If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the news of the day, unplug, watch a frivolous movie instead! ~ If you are are feeling inspired, take gentle action, talk to someone about it or just research something about it online. This weekend, nourish yourself and do something to restore your energy. Much love and peace,...

Your Male and Female Parts In Conflict? 0

Your Male and Female Parts In Conflict?

Posted by on Sep 22, 2017

There is a fight for power and energy happening between Yin (Female Oriented) and Yang (Male Oriented) Meridians of late.  I have been seeing this imbalance in just about everyone that has been coming in for sessions. The Yins, the meridians that motivate all your life-sustaining functions, like your heart, kidneys, and liver, are showing up depleted because the Yang Meridians are exerting so much energy to power action and forward motion. There is a conflict between nurturing yourself and managing all that is coming your way and all you want to achieve. The recent retrograde, solar eclipse and hurricanes have caused a friction or static that has put a lot of people’s central nervous systems on a stress alert. It’s like there is a background noise that is annoying you, but you don’t realize it was affecting you until it stops. Then, you are like, Ahhhhh, peace again. While, this time of year, end of summer/back to school, is bringing pressures to get more done as well as to be out enjoying the weather while it lasts. Keep going, going, going, and your energy may go gone. Try this exercise to help find peace again from these environmental disturbances, and for some suggestions on how to nourish yourself...

Back to Reality- How to Support Yourself as We Transition From Summer Into Fall

You are back to life; back to reality. Remember that song by Soul II Soul??? “Back to life, back to reality, back to the here and now yeah Show me how, decide what you want from me, tell me maybe I could be there for you.” What if this was your life talking to you??? What if you could bring some Summer into your normal life’s reality? This Summer you got to have more fun, go on vacation, see more of family and friends, treat yourself to ice cream and to enjoy being outside in nature. In The Chinese System, Summer is the time to reap what you have sowed and to enjoy the harvest. You worked hard all year, so you could celebrate your success and take some time off. And, now it’s time to “get back to work.” There is a lot to do before the end of the year. Remember all your resolutions and goals, yikes!!!!! Ugh!!! How will you get it done? Bring up anxiety? And, it’s getting darker earlier. What a freakin buzz kill!!!! But, it doesn’t have to be! You can bring some of that Summer fun into your real life. Don’t just roll back into your old patterns, when you have this...
