Essential Oil Relief for Cold and Allergies!

Posted by on May 3, 2017

Feeling like it’s a challenge these days to feel healthy? Experiencing sinus pressure from allergies? So many people are suffering from colds! And, the pollen counts have been remarkably high this year, causing suffering for many people with seasonal allergies. I had a sinus headache that lasted for two days last week, so I wanted to share what gave me relief! The swift and extreme changes in temperature and barometric pressure can be taxing to your sinuses and even cause lymph congestion and bloating! Essential Oils were used in ancient cultures as remedies for all sorts of ailments. And, their effectiveness stands the test of time. Oregano and Lemon are two oils I recommend keeping on hand because of their anti- bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Both Oregano and Lemons are grown in the Mediterranean and are both staples in the region’s cooking. Using it for medicinal purposes can be traced back to Ancient Greek and Roman cultures. Before there were antibiotics, these cultures used the healing properties of plants. Crazy Dreams Lately?

Been having crazy dreams lately? This week, the full moon added extra energy to the already intensified astrological climate. Your subconscious may have been working out old unconscious fears or emotional patterns in your dreams to finally let go of what no longer serves you. While the Venus, Mercury and Saturn Retrogrades have been calling you to: Revive your soul’s purpose Reunite with loved ones and forgotten passions Repair broken bonds or systems which have ceased to be effective Passover and Easter are both being celebrated this week too; it’s like the entire Universe is Nudging You to Grow. The significance of the Full Moon, Retrogrades, Passover and Easter is similar.  Passover celebrates the Jewish people’s freedom from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation under the leadership of Moses.  While Easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ from the dead. From what old beliefs or expectations can you free yourself? What old beliefs or patterns can you let die, so a new part of yourself can emerge? If you were startled by a weird or scary dream or anxious, frustrated or annoyed by a situation that keeps repeating itself or that you can’t seem to resolve at the moment, can you zoom out, take a minute to...

Inspired By Pure Genius!

I got overwhelmed and a little annoyed by all the emails I received last week about goal setting, new year breakthroughs, and the best ways to start your year off right! It all felt like too much. This is why I waited a week to send you something. My thought- I am not quite ready for this. I need more time to figure out what I want, what my heart truly desires. I want to try stuff on, taste it, let it marinate in my mind and in my life for a little more time before committing to anything. I don’t want to strive to complete an idea, I want to find a feeling, enjoy it and explore it. Saturday night, my husband and I watched the Netflix series Chef’s Table: France about Alain Passard, a three-star Michelin Chef in France. A three-star Michelin rating is a coveted honour only a little over 100 chefs in the world receive. This series is incredibly inspiring. As it gets into the head and heart of pure genius. These are the Mozart’s of cooking. Passard always knew he wanted to be a chef; it was a passion since he was a teenager; he dedicated his life to it. Cooking is the constant...
